This painting came about from a photograph in an old magazine. I thought the image would be beautiful if painted larger than life. The vine was captivating with twists and turns, strength and texture.

Jesus said, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” - John 15:5 (NIV)

Jesus Christ is the vine, the true source of life. Apart from him, as a branch, I can do nothing. Yet I have been grafted into his vine and given forgiveness, fullness, and belonging. His love moves into my heart, then overflows as love for others - as much fruit.
